During a tour of Old Kyiv you plunge into the heroic and legendary past of Old Kyiv. You’ll get acquainted with the cities of Vladimir and Yaroslav and the architectural monuments of the 11-12 centuries: the main entrance to the city of Yaroslav – the Golden Gate, the pearls of sacred architecture – St. Sophia and St. Michael’s Cathedrals, the ancient part of Kyiv – the Old Kyiv Hill.
A walk along Andriyivskyy Descent which is often compared to Montmartre in Paris will be a good addition to the tour. You will admire the sophistication of St. Andrew’s Church, the romance of Richard the Lionheart Castle, you will plunge into the life of characters from the novels of Mikhail Bulgakov. Don’t forget: there is no better place to buy souvenirs than St. Andrew’s Descent.
